Italy was nice to me to the very end

Saturday at noon i left from Genova and started walking again.

The road from Genova to the border has always been next to the sea.

So there was almost always some type of beach next to the road. And also the coast has been full of little beach towns.

Saturday

I also went trough Tortuga

In the evening these awsome people came to talk with me. And with that other groups got also intrested so at one moment i had to put people on a hold. The girl in the middle is also a journalist and said that she will write an article about me.

After that i went to sleep in the beach with a nice view.

Sunday i saw even more small road side beaches and went trough even more beach  towns.

And for a while i had my favorite type of road. Road on the edge of a cliff.

For a place to sleep i found a nice place just 5 meters from the road.

Monday i had little hills again but other than that nothing happened.

These small beach towns in day time are usually pretty empty because everybody are in the beach.

But in the night they come alive.

I slept under a tree because i knew that its going to rain a little bit.

But unfortunately for me it rained a lot. So i got pretty wet when i slept and after 2 hours of walking i got very wet.

Little bit later i got another group of fans in one bar while charging the battery.

After that at noon it was windy and sunny again so i dryed everything out.

In the evening i made a little investment before entering to France.

The plan was to cross the border tuesday night, but just 11 km before the border these nice people came to me and offered me a room to sleep.

Wednesday morning i got up early because i had to make even these 11 km to arrive Nice in the evening.

The last views on Italy from the edge of the Alps.

Just 200 meters before the border i took the last Coffee and i got it for free.
Every now and then in Italy i still got free food and almost every day one coffee for free.

And now France.

I still get the usual thumbs up from cars passing by and people come to talk with me with a smile. One women even offered me a camping place in her garden. But my plan was to arrive in Nice so i declined.
Its still early to create an opinion on France but the start has been good.
But the bad thing is that the price of espresso has gone up from 1€ to 1.50 € and i really like espresso.

And Monaco!

I have never seen so many super cars, luxury cars and antiques in one day just driving casually on the streets. And it wasnt just in Monaco but so far in the whole part of France. But i dont have photos of them because i never saw one parking.

And never i have seen yachts so big.

And late in the evening i arrived in Nice.

I will probably stay here little bit and figure out what is France and then decide if i want to walk straight to Spain or with stops.

So far 1790 km.
