Weekend with journalists

Thursday night right after publishing the last post i had a nutella desert and coffe with these people.

I slept on the beach again and in the morning i discovered that it was very popular by fisherman but luckily nobody bothered me in the morning.

Friday i went to one gas station to buy rizzla paper but unfortunetly they were out of it. But when i started to leave they stopped me and gave some food.

Saw one intresting old bridge.

Some ruins of an ancient roman city again.

In the night when i arrived in Formia these journalists found me and wanted to know what i am doing.

After a beer and little talking they invited me to a house leaving party.

And after the party three of them (the girl and guy on my right and his brother) invited me to come to their house and gave me a room and said i can stay with them as long as i want.

Saturday we didnt to much of anything, they worked and i was having a bad hangover.

Sunday night we started drinking wine in their place and after that we went to pub where we drinked beers.

After they closed the pub around 1.30 am we bought some more beers and headed back home where the party ended around 5 am.

Monday we stayed at home again and in the evening we drank little bit of wine.

They are also writing an article about me and about what i am doing  so maybe its going to smooth my road little bit more as well when its ready.

And its good that i had a place to stay with these awsome guys because its been raining for the past 3 days.

Its actually still raining but i guess that i have to suck it up if i want to be in Rome at friday already.  That means that i have to avarege about 35 km per day for four days (Rome is 141 km away).

So far 886 km.

Little bit of everything

Monday evening in Pompeii got bored and decided to walk.
I arrived in Portici where i found a little straight of wilderness between two roads where to sleep.

Tuesday i visited Napels and in my opinion it was a very beautiful city and it wasnt as bad and scary like almost everybody warned me. And even the people where nice there. But then again i was only in the center of the city.

In Napels i went for a coffe with these guys.

After Napels in some small town i went to a bar to drink coffe and charge the battery and there the bartender gave me two free beers to drink.

After that i walked a little bit and asked a cigarette from this man but we ended up drinking strong beers for many hours in a bar.

And for a place to sleepi found an abondend construction site. And it was good because again it was raining the whole night and morning.

Because it was raining i had an excuse to sleep very long and even after that i still had a hangover.

Yesterday night i went to one supermarket to see if i can buy some food with 70 cents.
There two workers started talking to me and a bit later made me the biggest panini i have had so far and put a price of 1.50 only.
And then they gave 5 € to me so i could afford it.

I slept near the road again.

Today the road was very boring and the first 20 km was just strait where on the first half there was after every 300 meters a prostitude.

And for 2 km there was this road.

And just now these two pizza bar workers saw me and asked if i want pizza.

And of course i said yes.

And i thought that maybe you want to know my walking route.
So i put together a map of my approximate route for walking 5000 km.

So far 854 km.

Pompei

Saturday night one guy came to me with his friends and the first thing he said was "yore from estonia right?".

It turned out that hed had seen photos of me on facebook when i was in Salerno.
With them i went for a coffe at 2 am and after that they somehow got me a free room in a hotel. They also gave me 20 euros.

So yesterday i had the chance to vistit the ruins of Pompei.
And i was very happy that there was a free luggage hold but i didnt understand why only few of these thousands of tourist used it.

And that gave me free hands and made it is to enjoy everything and gve me chance to take a lot of photos.

And i was so fascinated of this ancient city so i took around 500 photos that day.

I didnt upload all the photos here because it would take forever and the post would be extremely long so i uploaded them in fotki.

Here are the photos i took.

It toom me 7 hours to walk everything through so in the day i got hungry and went to the only place there where they offerd food and drinks.
But after i saw the prices i wasnt hungry anymore.

In the evening i saw my friends from Salerno and we went for a coffe and thought that the world is so small.

(Photo from Salerno)

And in the night i met these nice people.

With them we went to eat pizza and i tried for the first time italian ice cream as well.
But i have to say that estonian ice cream is still better.
And in the night they paid for a bed in a hostel for me so i got another night in the bed.

Right now i am still in Pompei and i havent figured out yet if im gone leave today or tomorrow morning.

So far 759 km.

Amalfi and police

In Amalfi i found a good dry place on the beach (it was raining tht night) to sleep again.

The other half of the Amalfi coast.

Something that caught my eye.

In the night i saw on two occasions this religious thing again.
In the first time i moved on but in the second time they blocked the road so i had to wait.

In the night i found on very small dead end street to sleep and at that moment it seemed to be a quiet place.
But in the morning at 8.30 i got a wake up call from municipal police because it turned out that 30 meter frommy sleeping place was a morning market.
But they were very friendly and curios again and they gave me time to pack up my things.
And when i arrived in the market everybody had heard of me so in the morning i got a hot tea, pasteries, cigarettes an one guy gave 5 euros to me.

After i had walked 2 km on guy pulled over and gave me a very nice present.

Thats something that i wouldnt buy right now on the road even if somebody gave me 50 euros. But i have to say that this is the best whiskey i have drinked.

Usually i dont like tunnels because they are hot and very noisey and i dont like them  especially when they are 2 km long. But because today was raining a bit and there were no signs that said that i cant walk there (usually tunnels that are over 1 km long are not allowed to walk on) i tought that i take the tunnel.

I passed the first tunnel and right befor going in to the second tunnel police stopped me. In the beginning we had some trouble understanding each other but when i asked to take a photo it all smoothed out.

They showed me a road around the tunnel and it was okey.

I arrived in Pompei around 5 pm and i got lost in the city looking for ruins.

Now i found a wifi place and found out where the ruins are.
The bad thing is that its a lot bigger complex than i expected so it would take me a whole day to go through the city and the ticket costs 11 euros and right now i have 6 euros.

So far 759 km.
